About Us

What is buzzing our fellow bee family members. We are ProtectOurBees! We created this due to different environmental issues which are causing bee populations to decline, and without the bees buzzing around our whole ecosystem would fail. We have invested everything into this, in order to save the bee colonies and we never looked back since. ProtectOurBees was created due to our love for the bees and nature.

According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations, approximately 80% of all flowering plants are specialised for pollination by animals, mostly insects (which includes bees). Pollination is crucial because many of our vegetables, fruits and the crops that feed our livestock rely on it to be fertilised, so without it, we could go hungry. Vegetables such as broccoli, asparagus and cucumber rely on the pollination of bees, as do apricots, strawberries, apples, tomatoes and almonds.

While there are other methods of pollination, including by the wind, birds, bats and other insects, wild bees are among the most important pollinators because they are capable of pollinating on a much bigger scale. It has been estimated that it would cost farmers in the an incredible £1.8 billion per year to manually pollinate their crops, which just further emphasises the importance of bees.

Its in our hands to protect them! Protect Our Bees have created a buzz in the community by saving the bees with different bee inspired designs. Our aim is to bring the cause and importance of bee and to help raise awareness in our community that may not be known. In order for us to help, we will donate a portion of our profits to a variety of bee related charities in order to assist them, in saving the bees. There a many different ways to help to save bees and educating yourself and people around you would be the first step. As the saying goes by "Every little steps goes a long way" Thank you for spending your time on this and let us work together in order to keep our Earth as healthy as possible.

Much love,

Protect Our Bees Team
